Important Message to our Cutchogue Residents:
On Friday Morning September 6th there will be a road closure on New Suffolk Rd. in the area of our new Firehouse.
***New Suffolk Rd. will be closed between Main Rd. and Cedars Rd beginning at 7:00 a.m.***
- Any vehicles traveling North from New Suffolk will be detoured down Cases Cedars Rd. & Cases Lane past the Village Green.
- Any vehicles heading toward New Suffolk or to the firehouse are asked to use Cases Lane or other alternative routes.
- Traffic control officers will be in place at New Suffolk Rd. and Main Rd to assist with the detour.
We ask the community to please be patient as the detour is expected to last until the afternoon. The detour is necessary for crews to complete the needed drainage work for the new firehouse.
Construction of our new firehouse has continued steadily with the steel frame of the building now complete.
The progress can be readily seen as the shape of the building is now visible.
The members of the Cutchogue Fire Department thank our community for your continued support as we embark on this new endeavor.
As a reminder, CFD has worked diligently to ensure that we remain fully operational and prepared to respond to any emergencies during the construction project.
All Emergency Equipment and communications equipment has been moved to our storage buildings on the District property across from the old firehouse. A dedicated houseman will still be on hand from 7am to 11pm for any assistance.
All meeting, business, and administrative offices for the Department and Fire District have been moved to the CFD Annex located at the corner of Route 25 and Harbor Lane.
Please check back often as we will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
Thank you local Photographer Rory Macnish for the Vide
