| On Saturday morning the members of the Cutchogue Fire Department joined the country in celebrating our nation's 250th birthday.
The members of CFD were proud to take part in 2 local parades celebrating the nations independence in 1776.
The morning started with the Annual New Suffolk Civic Association July 4th parade at 10:00 a.m. The CFD was joined by numerous local civic groups and participants in this small hometown parade that has taken place for over 30 years.
At noon CFD participated in the official Southold Town 4th of July parade held in Southold that was sponsored by the Southold American Legion.
This grand parade brought together groups and spectators from the entire Township to celebrate the holiday.
Congratulations to CFD Ladies Auxiliary member Jeanette Cooper for being chosen as the Grand marshal for the parade.
CFD was proud to be a part of both of these events.
Thank you to the members of the CFD Fire Police squad for assisting the Southold Town Police with traffic control during both of the parades.
God Bless America! |
