As posted on North Fork of Long Island NY facebook page by Steve Kaelin :
Another soggy day, so a little more Cutchogue history - July 6th 1941 Cutchogue Day.
The dedication of a Community Flagpole sponsored by the Cutchogue Fire Dept and held a spectacular parade.
Most of the photos were taken of newspaper clippings out of a scrapbook, but it was the best I could do.
The flagpole was located on the firehouse grounds now occupied by the southern portion of the Firehouse.
Thank you Steve, for posting these Memories
