On Tuesday Afternoon at about 3:00 PM the Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Motor Vehicle accident on the Main Rd. in the area of the Cutchogue Library.
An eastbound vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.
The lone occupant was treated by Fire & EMS personnel for minor injuries and transported to a local hopsital,
As firefighters were clearing the scene, at 3:17 p.m. CFD was dispatched for a second Motor Vehicle Accident located on New Suffolk Rd. near Cases lane.
Police and Fire units arrived to find a 1 vehicle accident in which a vehicle had struck a utility pole and continued for a distance before coming to rest in a farm field. The driver was treated and transported to the hospital by CFD ambulance for minor injuries. CFD units stood by and assisted with traffic control until the scene was turned over to STPD who waited for PSEG to respond to repair the pole.
Over the course of the past 3 days leading into Christmas, CFD volunteers have been busy, responding to 10 calls for service.
These calls included: (3) motor Vehicle Accident (6) EMS alarms (1) Automatic Fire alarm
