On Saturday Evening to help kick off the Holiday season, the CFD participated in the Cutchogue Village Green Tree Lighting and Annual Parade of Lights in Greenport Village.
To start off the night members helped Santa arrive at the Cutchogue Village Green Tree lighting sponsored by the Cutchogue New Suffolk Historical Council. Santa was escorted aboard our Antique fire truck 8-5-2 to the Village Green where he was met by a crowd of Families and carolers.
The second stop of the night was the annual Greenport Holiday Parade. This event is hosted by the Phenix Hook and Ladder Co. of the Greenport FD in conjunction with Greenport Village to officially welcome Santa to the village and light tree in Mitchel Park for the holiday season.
The streets were line with children and families as decorated fire trucks from area Fire Departments including CFD's ladder truck and Fire Police Truck paraded down the street.
CFD is always happy to be a part of these annual traditions.
These are just two of several special events that CFD will be participating throughout the Holiday season.
