On Friday Evening Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department participated in the Mattituck -Cutchogue PTA's annual "Trunk or Treat" event held at Cutchogue East School with near perfect weather.

The event now in its fourth year brought together, community families school and local organizations to provide children a safe and fun night to enjoy the spirit of the Halloween season.

The Mattituck Lions Club was a co-sponsor of the event serving up food and refreshments and provided a DJ for entertainment for the evening.

Participants were encouraged to decorate their vehicles for the evening in the spirit of Halloween.

CFD's entry included our ladder truck 8-5-3 and Fire Police unit 8-5-15 specially decorated for the occasion complete with "skeleton crew" and friends. Southold Town Police and the Mattituck FD were among the other community groups that had entries.

The event was an overwhelming success with hundreds of children and families attending.

A spooktacular time was had by all!
