On Sunday afternoon, the CFD welcomed the FDNY 343 Ride bicyclists as they passed though Cutchogue as part of their final leg of a 105 mile ride that began at the World Trade Center.

CFD proudly displayed an American Flag from our ladder truck on Bridge Lane as the riders began their final mile. The ride ended at nearby Pindar Vineyards in Peconic where they were welcomed by a crowd of supporters.

This annual bicycle trip on the Anniversary of 9/11, honors and remembers the 343 members of the FDNY who perished in the World Trade Center on Sept 11th, 2001.

Donated proceeds from the ride go directly to help support severely injured veterans who have served in the Armed Forces. To date the ride has made over 2 million dollars to benefit veterans in need.

The Cutchogue Fire Department was honored to be a part of this event, and have the opportunity to honor and cheer for this years riders.

Never Forget!
