On Saturday Evening Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department participated in the Mattituck -Cutchogue PTA's annual "Trunk or Treat" event held at Cutchogue East School.

After being postponed for a week due to rain, the event was held Saturday with near perfect weather.

The event now in its third year brought together, community families school and local organizations to provide children a safe and fun night to enjoy the spirit of the Halloween season.

For the first time this year the Mattituck Lions Club was a co-sponsor of the event serving up food and refreshments and provided a DJ for entertainment for the evening.

Participants were encouraged to decorate their vehicles for the evening in the spirit of Halloween.

CFD's entry included our ladder truck 8-5-3 specially decorated for the occasion complete with "skeleton crew" and friends. Southold Town Police and the Mattituck FD were among the other community groups that had entries.

The event was an overwhelming success with h undreds of children and families attending.

A spooktacular time was had by all!
