The chiefs, officers, and members of The Cutchogue Fire Department would like to offer our congratulations to one of our past firefighters on his retirement.

Douglas Wieczorek recently retired and completed his last shift with the Charlotte NC Fire Department after a 25-year career this past Friday.

Doug joined CFD and began his firefighting career here in Cutchogue in the late 1980's following in the footsteps of his father Ex-Chief Vincent Wieczorek. He was among our most active members before moving to North Carolina in 1995 to pursue his dream.

Doug remains on our inactive/honorary roles and is still friends with many back home here on Long Island.

Doug served the City of Charlotte in Ladder Company 27 and Engine Company 22 " Double Deuce". https://www.facebook.com/charlottefire22

The officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to offer our congratulations to Doug and best wishes for a happy retirement.

We went through the archives and found some pictures from your early days.

The Cutchogue Fire Department is the proud home to a large group of CFD Alumni that includes Doug, who have begun their firefighting and careers in public safety here in Cutchogue and continue to serve communities in other states.

We are proud of your accomplishments.
