CFD Junior Firefighters
The Cutchogue Fire Department has a Junior firefighters program that was origianlly established in 1991. The goal of of this dynamic and interactive program is to introduce the youth of our community to many aspects the Fire and EMS service with the hope that someday these youths will continue onward to become the future Volunteers serving our community.
The group meets on the 2nd Wednesday night of each month. at the Cutchogue Fire House.
During each session the Junior firefighters will hold a monthly Business meeting or hold a training session. Senior advisors are present at all functions to insure proper training and supervision during activities. Juniors will have the unique oppurtunity to work side by side with senior Firefighters and Medical Personell in both hands-on and classroom activities designed for our Junior firefighters.
The program is open to any boy or girl who resides in the Cutchogue Fire District and is between the ages of 11 and 17 years of age
