This picture recently surfaced on facebook showing our 1949 American LaFrance pumper on parade in Greenport.

This pumper designated "Pump 2" or 8-5-4 remained in service until 1974 when it was replaced by a 1974 Ward LaFrance.

At the time of its delivery, this truck was the first custom, enclosed cab fire engine on the North Fork.

Other pictures show the truck along with others from the CFD fleet during that time.

Today the truck's whereabouts are unkown.
