May 21, 2017

National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and to honor the dedication of those who provide the day to day lifesaving services of medicine's "front-line. EMS providers include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders, fire fighters and police.

"National EMS Week" was established back in 1973 when President Gerald Ford authorized the week to help honor those EMTs serving in the United States. This year's theme is "Always in Service" and takes place from May 21-27th.

The Cutchogue Fire Department would like to wish everyone a Happy "National EMS Week" as we honor our very own Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) & those EMS providers who serve our surrounding communities.

This week and all year long, we owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of EMS professionals across the nation. These individuals are true public servants who commit their lives to aiding our residents in times of crisis and emergency.

The Cutchogue Fire Department is proud of our EMS providers and their services they provide to our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as volunteers.

As the Nation celebrates National EMS week we would like to say "Thank You" for your hard work and continued dedication and service you give to the community

We are always looking for future members interested in becoming EMTs & Firefighters, if you would like to join please visit the firehouse or e-mail cutfd@optonline.net for further information.

All training is provided free-of-charge.
