Recently CFD received this correspondence from a friend in Germany.

In April, Anton Hoesl visited our firehouse while on vacation here in the United States.

While visiting he was given a guided tour of our home and equipment. He was given an official Cutchogue Fire Department patch as a souvenir from his visit.

In exchange Anton sent us this package of German patches to add to our collection that is displayed in the firehouse.

Our doors are always open to visitors, and throughout the years we are happy to have welcomed friends from far and near.

This is just another example of how brotherhood and camaraderie in the fire service knows no boundaries.
